Yes. Our first step in any cloud automation project is a cost audit. By implementing automated scaling (spinning servers down at night) and properly utilizing reserved instances, we often cut cloud bills by 30-50%.
Yes, and it is the normal approach. Existing infrastructure is imported into code so the current state is captured before anything changes, which means the first step is descriptive rather than destructive. From there, changes go through review and are applied incrementally. We do not rebuild environments from scratch to adopt infrastructure as code.
Usually, though how much varies and anyone promising a percentage without seeing your account is guessing. The savings come from visibility more than clever optimisation — codified infrastructure makes orphaned resources, over-provisioned instances, and unused environments obvious. The larger benefit is typically that infrastructure stops growing unexamined.
Probably not, unless you already know why you do. Kubernetes solves real problems at genuine scale and carries substantial operational overhead below it. Managed container services or serverless handle a great many workloads with far less complexity. We would rather recommend the simpler option that fits than the one that looks more impressive on an architecture diagram.
